Elbrus is a volcanic massif to the north of the main ridge of the Caucasus Mountains. The ascent begins from Djilysu and continues along the north slope of mountain Elbrus.
The trip is not technically difficult but requires crampons and ice axe. Systematic programme of acclimatization is essential prior to making the ascent.

Trip: The whole trip was very good. I would recommend it to anyone who asked. Mountain guides: Vladimir – very good, but the pace he set on the first 2 days were too fast for me. Good communication. Alex – His experience is excellent. I felt very safe in his hands. He has a large personality, but a little that – he was good fun, but very professional. Food: very good, but not to my taste. Mountain hut: basic hut is ok.
